The digital world plays a huge role in how young people learn, connect and form identity. With increasing screen time and social media use, many parents and carers are concerned about the impact on emotional wellbeing, behaviour and self-esteem.
With the introduction of the Online Safety Amendment (Social Media Minimum Age) Act 2024, young people under 16 are facing limits on accessing certain social media platforms. These changes may lead to digital stress, frustration, or withdrawal, and many families are unsure how to respond.
At Helm, we help families navigate these changes with confidence, understanding and practical support.
